Dr. Moussa Ibrahim Appointed Cultural Advisor to Ethiopia’s Adwa National Museum

The African Legacy Foundation is pleased to announce that Dr. Moussa Ibrahim, Executive Secretary of the Foundation, has been appointed Cultural Advisor to the Adwa National Museum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with his appointment taking effect in the spring of this year.

The appointment follows Dr. Ibrahim’s visit to the museum in October, during which he delivered a lecture and presented a series of recommendations on strengthening the museum’s presentation of Africa’s liberation history during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. His visit also included meetings with senior Ethiopian officials, including the Ministers of Culture, Education, and Communications.

As Cultural Advisor, Dr. Ibrahim will contribute to initiatives that promote the history of African liberation movements, highlight the contributions of the continent’s freedom fighters, and strengthen public understanding of Africa’s intellectual, cultural, and political heritage.

Later this year, Dr. Ibrahim is expected to return to Ethiopia alongside descendants of several historic African liberation leaders, including the families of Nelson Mandela, Julius Nyerere, Kenneth Kaunda, Samora Machel, Amílcar Cabral, Steve Biko, Agostinho Neto, and Emperor Haile Selassie, as part of ongoing efforts to preserve and promote Africa’s liberation legacy.

The African Legacy Foundation congratulates Dr. Ibrahim on this appointment and looks forward to supporting initiatives that advance historical preservation, Pan African education, and cooperation across the continent.
